One Must Play The Fool

This is a true story told by one of my mentors.

A story of a lady who got married to a man of her dream, they both enjoyed their honey moon. She wished it never ended, every night she prayed for the “good old days” to return, the reenactment of those romantic moments. “What happened to the candle nights, the holding hands, the sweet words, the smiles, the laughter, the attention…!? Why all these bitterness, arguments, cursing and fighting? Why this hatred from my husband?” She wept.

One day she decided to cry home to her father. “Father!” she fell down on her knees crying “You always help people to solve their problems, I grew up seeing you amending broken marriages, my marriage is in trouble! I am not enjoying my marriage but just enduring it. I can’t endure anymore please, help me!”  The old man looked at her and said, “Stand up my daughter, wipe your tears, tomorrow I will give you something to use on your husband.”

The next day, the lady who trusted her father, received powdered substance from him. “My dear daughter, here is the charm that you need to hypnotize your husband. With this you will begin to enjoy your marriage. Anytime your husband is angry then just put little of this in your mouth but be careful never to swallow it because is poisonous. All the ladies that I did it for, it worked perfectly” he instructed.  She believed and left to achieve her desire.

Back home, as usual the furious husband entered with shouting in anticipation to provoke her into another fight but this time he was defeated, his wife did not open her mouth. She was just gazing at him. The man cursed and cursed but no respond from his wife because she did not want to swallow the poisonous powder in her mouth, only noticeable tears were coming from her eyes.  After two months of repeated actions and reactions, her husband broke down one day at her feet weeping like a baby. He said “Honey! You have changed! You no longer curse back when I curse you and you no longer disrespect me. Now I know that I am the one at fault. I am sorry for all the push and for all that I put you through all these years. Please, forgive me!”

The next day, the lady went back with joy to her father to testify of how effective the charm worked. On hearing this, her father broke into laughter. He said “Dear! That “charm” is an ordinary corn flour, not poisonous as I prescribed it. The formula that I gave to you there is do not talk when your husband is angry, play the part of the fool, just shut your mouth and peace will reign in your marriage.  Men do not talk too long and they stop talking when you do not talk back to them. Men feel bitter when you talk back to them and they carry your voice with them for long. It takes two to quarrel and if one decides to play the role of a fool then there will be no quarrel and no fighting.  Thank you my daughter for your obedience “.

IT DOESN'T BELONG TO YOU ANYMORE

As a young girl, growing up, Paula was excited seeing her mother’s dreams come through. Her dreams were to own a house with a beautiful garden by its side and train her daughter through all educational levels as she desires.

Though Paula’s mother was not rich but she stood by her dreams.  With mortgage from the credit union, she was able to complete her beautiful house. Being a lover of fruits, she planted several trees to fulfill her dream.  Paula too was looking forward to the day these trees would bear fruits.

Life they say is full of many tragedies, the unpredictable tragedies, such that took Paula’s dear mom from her. On that day, she left home in the morning happily with her daughter, dropped her off at her school and promised to pick her up for lunch.  Just ten minutes drive from Paula’s school there were sporadic gunshots. Two gang members were exchanging gunfire and Paula’s mother became the victim as she was caught in-between.  She received a severe gunshot to her chest and died on the spot.

She lost her mom and her mom’s dreams.  The credit union took over the house and auctioned it to another person.  For many years, she was still wondering. “Why?”

After seven years, she decided to visit her former home to revive her memory.  The trees have grown up with attractive fruits. As she stood at the gate with tears flowing down her eyes, a young lady came out of the house, approached her and asked who she was looking for. Paula replied “. This was our compound. My mother built that house and planted those trees before she died”.  The young lady was touched by this revelation, she said “ I am sorry to hear this but is there anything I could do for you?”.  Paula replied “. Yes! If you could please, allow me to taste of the fruits from the plants”.  At this point, the countenance of the young lady changed to that of disappointment.  “Sorry ma. I cannot allow you into this compound and no one is allowed to collect any fruit from those trees. The owner of this compound, Ms. Liz is very strict and mean. She loves those fruits more than human beings. I hope you understand?  I am just a maid who is protecting her job.” The young lady declared.

In tears, Paula left without tasting of the fruits, which she and her mother planted.  The truth is that who owns the compound owns the trees and the fruits. The garden does not belong to the former owner anymore.

We are just like the compound and our lives are like the garden.  When we surrender to Jesus Christ, he becomes the owner of everything that we have. Anyone who does not surrender to Jesus Christ, his owner is Satan and everything he has belongs to the devil. When you surrender to JESUS CHRIST, He washes you clean with His Blood. He does not look at your pasts.

2Corinthians 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Dear Beloved, you can pray this short but powerful prayer:  Dear Jesus Christ, from this moment, I surrender my life totally to you, please, forgive me all my sin and set me free from all my weakness. I accept you as my LORD and personal Saviour in your name I prayed. Amen !

THE GREAT DAY

Luke 21:34  "Constantly be on your guard so that your hearts will not be loaded down with self-indulgence, drunkenness, and the worries of this life, or that day will take you by surprise

Dear beloved,

There is a day which almost everyone is aware of. A day which almost everyone is afraid of. There is a day which some are eagerly looking forward to, a day which some never wish to see or experience and others have different opinion of that day.  A great day which no one knows when but the signs of its closeness are known. We can see and feel the signs of that great day.

Everyone is highly under attack right now because of that great day. Our Lord, JESUS CHRIST warned us to be on our guard, for that day will come by surprise.  He warned us that when the day is approaching, Satan will attack us with the spirits of, “SELF-INDULGENCE, DRUNKENNESS and WORRIES OF LIFE”.  Today, Satan is effectively using these three spirits to prevent people from focusing on the things of God.  

SELF-INDULGENCE = Today almost everyone is after what will benefit them physically, focusing on self (selfishness)

DRUNKENNESS  =  Party, worldly excitement plus weakness (socializing instead of fellowship with the HOLY SPIRIT)

 WORRIES OF LIFE =  The global economy is not getting better moreover everyone wants the best.  The ability to wait on God is getting weak. Frustration and desperation are increasing every moment.  Expectations are not met on time, people are becoming hopeless and doubtful.

Satan is smart and sensitive, look at how he is manipulating people out of their destinies. And the question is how many are ready for that day, the second coming of JESUS CHRIST?

Let us take our stand for that day. Do not compromise because of situations, hold on to your faith. God the provider is with you. He will not allow you to be put to shame as long as you put your trust on Him.

YOUR POSITION AS A CHURCH

God created you to help those who have lost the vision of helping others. God did not create you to receive help. Some persons walk into churches because they need physical help, they just want the church to provide everything for them instead of looking up to God through Jesus Christ. The church is to help you to come out of yourself to help others. "Seek first the kingdom of God and every other things shall be added to you". Until you take your divine position of helping in your church, you will continue to move from church to church searching for help and eventually end up at home not attending any church. You will continue to blame people, yourself and God for your problems. What you are created to give is already in you

I KNOW MY PLACE

 Dear Brethren,
God wants us to understand this season and this generation which
  we are. We are in a generation of “SELFISHNESS”. A generation where Satan turns people every day to focus on themselves. When the people focus on themselves they lose the vision of God.  While the antichrist agents (UNIBAM),  the gay community “human right organisations” are becoming more desperate,
forceful and more united, the body of Christ are becoming more divided,
self-centred, backbiting and pulling each other down.  The
bible says, that “Lawlessness will increase and the love of many shall wax cold” . 

Last Saturday was our movie night, we showed this movie
“ESCAPE FROM HELL”  in it there is a blind lady who got
knocked down by a vehicle and she died.  She appeared in Heaven not as blind but she could see the glory of God and the angel called her “the daughter of the
most high God”.  In the movie also is a man who was a good husband, a wonderful father, he was good to people but he did not have Jesus Christ in him. He died and went to hell fire.


Being  a Christian is to know your place in Christ. If you are not a foundation layer then you must be a builder. A Christian is a person who allows Jesus Christ to dwell in him and to do things through him.

Denominations are not recognized in heaven. Titles are not
  recognized in heaven. Financial and material wealth are not recognized in
  heaven. The material things that we struggle after , we cannot take any of them
  along when we die.

You might be going through some trials right now, just know your
place in Christ and say “I know my place in Christ”. 
Do not allow situation of life dictate your Christian faith.  Life
on earth is brief but we have eternal life through Christ Jesus.

Please, let me share with you the following scriptures below.

Ecclesiastes 5:15  As he came forth
of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take
nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.

Job  1:21  And said, Naked  came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return  thither…

 Psalm  49:17  For when he dies
he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him.

Luke  12:20  But God said unto him, Thou
fool, this night thy soul shall be required of
thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast
provided?

 1Ti  6:7  For we brought  nothing into this  world, and it is
certain we can carry nothing out.

2Ti  3:2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient  to parents, unthankful, unholy,

2Ti  4:3  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti  4:4  And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2Ti  4:5  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Luke 10:20  Nevertheless in this rejoice not, that the spirits are
  subject unto you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.

Mat 24:12  And because iniquity shall be multiplied, the love of the
many shall wax cold.

Mat  24:13  But he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved.
